EMDR Consultation & Training
EMDR practitioners can benefit from ongoing consultation to improve their skills, address clinical challenges, and expand their competency within different populations or presenting problems. EMDR consultation can be completed virtually or in-person in Colorado Springs or at your retreat, conference, or clinic.
Danielle works from an attachment-based EMDR approach. Primarily working with developmental and chronic, complex trauma, Danielle believes that a slow, steady approach is most beneficial for many clients. Danielle values the use of a strong therapeutic relationship as well as creative tools to help clients “get unstuck” and move towards wholeness and healing. She primarily uses EMDR with adolescents and adults, both in-person and virtually.

FAQ
What do you mean by a “hybrid” model?
Students in our program enjoy the best of both worlds. You can participate in our exclusive online classroom to review lecture content, participate in online discussions, watch demonstration videos, and review the latest research all from the convenience of your own home. You will then attend a live practicum (online or in-person) where you will practice your EMDR skills and receive real-time feedback. Additionally, students will experience 10 hours of consultation (usually in 1-2 hour blocks) to review actual cases you are working with throughout the training. These are scheduled based upon student and instructor availability once the program begins.
I need to miss a day but really want to do this training. Is this okay?
Due to the nature of the training, students must be present for all of the live days and must be able to complete assignments by scheduled deadlines in our online classroom.
Should I come in-person or is online okay for the live practicum?
We encourage students to come in-person whenever possible to allow for opportunities to practice both in-person and virtual EMDR techniques. However, students who have been exclusively online have also had a rich learning experience.
Will any special techniques be taught?
During the final two live days, students will choose “electives” that they would like to focus on. This may include dissociation, eating disorders, resilience training, future templates, addictions, the FLASH protocol, anxiety, and more.
What makes your class unique?
Dr. John Hartung learned directly from Francine Shapiro herself. He has published dozens of academic papers in the area of EMDR. Our class is designed to teach EMDR in a way that is safer, slower, and more tolerable for clients who have experienced significant trauma, have difficulty tolerating emotions, or are limited in their ability to remember or communicate what happened to them.
